Who is eligible to use Ahrens Memorial Library:

1. Active duty military personnel and their dependents.

2. Military personnel retired with pay and their dependents.

3. Unremarried surviving spouses of military personnel and their dependents with ID cards.

4. DOD civilian employees (including NAF) and their dependents.

5. Students not affiliated with the Air Force but taking classes on base are eligible for any semester they are enrolled.

6. Teachers on Holloman AFB are eligible to be issued a card for materials to be used in their classroom only.

7. Foreign military with ID cards and their dependents.

8. Contract employees who have been granted Services privileges and AAFES employees. This does not include their dependents.

Note that we are unable to sign anyone onto the base for the purpose of using the library. Students not affiliated with the Air Force must work with the Education Office to acquire a base pass. Call the Education Office (572-3971) for more information.

Highlights

• • Accounts are attached under the Sponsor's name.  All other approved card holders can use DoD ID's in lieu of a library card.

  • Prints costs are 10 cents per side (B&W) and 25 cents per side (color).

  • Print service machine accepts: $1, $5 bills and coins.  Staff cannot supply change.

  • Please note that the library is not responsible for crediting misprints due to patrons' inattentiveness.

  • Wi-Fi is available for library patrons.

  • Damaged materials are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.  Damaged and lost materials must be replaced by library patrons.  Please DO NOT attempt to repair materials yourself!  Our Library has proper repair materials and will handle any repairs in house.
